At age 11, Dina lost her mother to cancer after a 2-1/2 year illness. While she still feels the sadness of her mother’s death, she also recognizes all she gained from her brief time with her mother in her life. It is Dina’s mission to make the most of what her mother gave her. Dina drew from her own experience to write this book with the hope of helping other children who are coping with similar situations. Dina runs Baker’s Dozen Press and has also written and published Creative License: Summer Sermons on Torah and Living in Community. She and her husband Brad are empty nesters living in the greater Boston area with their cat, Leo.
Dina is available to speak to groups on topics related to her books, and for readings and book signing events. She has worked with child bereavement groups and guest lectured in psychology graduate programs.
